GO TO ONETHING ’08

04Dec08

OnethingIf you are not attending the onething conference Dec. 38-31st, you must drop everything and go. Mike Bickle has said, “This will be the most significant conference IHOP has ever had.” Mike has never, in 25 years, stressed the importance of attending one of his conferences, but in this critical hour, Mike is stirred to call the Church to take a stand and even change your plans, to join.

This conference will be one that we will look back on in 10 years and see as THE defining moment of IHOP’s history. It is a time where we grow up and take our place in God’s End-Time global purpose. The book of Revelation is the central theme of this conference. The Book of Revelation is as Mike describes, “the book of Acts for the End-Time Church”. It describes the Church in unity with the Lord releasing judgment on the Anti-Christ’s system. What does this have to do with “One thing I desire” (Psalm 27:4, the name of our conference)? Much indeed. This is the central issue of the End-Times, the beauty and worthiness of Jesus. A life of devotion and intimacy is fueled by the Revelation of This Man. This is an hour of great deception about the knowledge of Jesus, and we must be a Church who heeds and understands the times in which we live. Much of the falsehood in the Church must be addressed. There is a strong trumpet blast going forth in our midst. We must contend, as Paul did, for the truth of the Gospel of Christ (Galatians 1-2).

The Book of Revelation is God’s plan to reveal, glorify and exalt His Son (Rev. 1:1) in the heavens and the earth (Eph. 1:9-10) so that He may be seen as beautiful and glorious (Is. 4:2). But this story is our story because God desires a people in union and partnership with Him. He is really at war for His wedding. The Lord is very jealous for a Bride in the earth who understands and knows Him and who will beckon Him to come in lovesick longing. Today, we are not truly mourning (Mt. 9:15) and longing as the Apostles constantly did, groaning for Christ to return (1 Cor. 1:7, 2 Tim. 4:8, 1 John 3:3, Heb. 9:27-28, Phil. 3:20-21, 2 Pet. 3:11-12). But this is changing. A prayer and worship movement is arising in the earth (described in Rev. 22:17 as the Bride saying, “Come”) that will usher in the return of Jesus by a heart enflamed with desire and a lifestyle of radical holiness that truly seeks for His kingdom. The Lord is restoring the object of our desire, Jesus, and He is doing it through this book, given to our generation for such a time as this, “The Revelation of Jesus Christ”.
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the Church.”

I highly encourage you to check out the video podcasts in preparation for this conference and if possible, please come for it.
